Post Doctoral Research Scholars (updated July 10, 2015)
The Center for Magnetic Resonance and Optical Imaging (CMROI) in the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is accepting applications for post-doctoral researcher positions to develop and implement magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques. Special emphasis will be placed on multi-nuclear, spin-lock, and chemical exchange saturation transfer based methods and their applications in preclinical and clinical research studies dealing with cardiovascular imaging, oncology and neuroscience. Our center has a rich history of training young scientists in the general area of biological magnetic resonance and provides ample opportunities for independent as well as collaborative research. Our laboratory has access to state-of-the-art 1.5T, 3T and 7T Siemens whole body MRI scanners as well as 9.4T 30 cm and 10 cm bore magnets interfaced to Varian/Agilent scanners for animal research.
The applicant should have a Ph.D. in biophysics/bioengineering or a related field and relevant experience in MRI. Applicants should possess knowledge of Matlab or other data processing software as well as outstanding writing and communication skills as demonstrated by a successful publication record. Experience with clinical and/or small animal MRI scanners will be a plus.
Individuals interested in applying should submit the following items to Susan Colleluori at email@example.com
